    Decent war film . Well told , good effects , some great casting . It got less than stellar reviews when it came out but it's well worth a look if you like war movies , probably less so if you can take or leave them .

    Just another tedious CGI-fest...

    Shockingly poor, superficial video-game of a film - aimed more at generation X-box than any student of history. I couldn’t care less about any of the characters and the whole thing just passed me by, without a lingering thought - I couldn’t wait for it to end. (It even regurgitates the infamous made-up-quote from Tora, Tora, Tora)! For all it’s faults, stick with the original.

    Good watch.

    Much better than the earlier version with Charlton Heston and Henry Fonda, (which spent too much time on the relationship between Heston's character and his estranged son and son's japanese girlfriend, IMO) This version pretty much accurate from what I have read in war history and the characters believable without the need to embellish them or re-interpret historical events as seem to be the case so much with remakes these days.

    Nt bad but lacking depth of history/events compared to the Charlton Heston original.

    Special effects were good and story pretty accurate but film lacked depth and explanation of events.Characterization rather shallow. Not bad though. Worth watching.
