The central bar underneath with its two legs to support the slats is a little unusual and not the best of designs. I suspect it is because overweight people might break the bed (this bed uses lighter material than some other wooden beds but that is why it only costs £170) although for me it is OK. It looks good too, and has a fresh wood aroma. Well done Mercers Furniture!
