I bought this not expecting much with a unit this in low cost. I wanted to try tubes to see if I really liked the sound and if I did I was going .to buy one of their higher end units. I was surprised at the quality of the sound after the tubes were run for a few hour's. At first the sound was tinny and muffled and about what I expected. After 3 or 4 hours of playing the tubes really started to sound better. I have about 30 hours on the unit now and it sounds really good with very good bass control and a smooth mid range and nice high's. It made my cd's sound like music again and I was really surprised because they all ways sounded like crap and I just used them for back ground music when I really was not interested in serious music. I can highly recommend this unit for CD's. I used it to drive my Mirage OM 8 speakers and it had plenty of power. I decided to try it with my Magnapan MG1 improved speakers which I did not expect it to drive at all because Magnepan recommends 100 WPC. I was shocked that this unit would drive them and could get load enough to run me out of the room. However the deal breaker was when I hooked the unit up to my phono stage and tried to play my LP's on it. I have a 4000+ collection of records and bought this to listen to my records. For some reason it will only plan one channel and I really want stereo.I hooked the phono stage back into my Rotel pre system and had both channels back so I know it was the Nobsound MS10D that wasn't playing the one channel. So I can highly recommend this for CD's but not for LP's.Read full review

I purchased my Nobsound MS-10D during the late summer of 2017 and have been enjoying it ever since. The preamp section of the MS-10D is tube while the amplifier section is solid state and rated at 25 watts per channel into an 8 OHM speaker. I run the MS-10D with a few different vintage speakers including Linn Kan I's and KEF Reference 101 bookshelf speakers, and the sound is quite good; and not just for the price. This integrated amplifier really does punch above its weight class. The MS-10D also has tone controls which work quite well with the Apple IPOD and well as my computer, which I routinely use as a source of audio. The music from both the IPOD and my computer can sound a bit thin, and truly benefit from the MS-10D's bass and treble controls. For CD playback I recently purchased an Onkyo C-7030 compact disc player (a terrific piece of gear for the price) and have found it to work extremely well with the MS-10D; especially when using a Schiit Audio Modi2 Uber D/A converter as an interface between the C-7030 and the MS-10D. Some people have claimed that because the black box on the MS-10D does not contain output transformers that the tubes in this integrated amplifier are simply for show. However, this was proven to be incorrect quite sometime ago. The MS-10D will not function without its tubes in place, and gets its warmth from its tube preamp section. The MS-10D also has a surprisingly good sounding headphone amplifier whose circuit mutes the speaker outputs whenever a headphone jack is plugged into this integrated amplifier. So if you are looking for a dedicated headphone amplifier, yet feel that you may want to upgrade to external passive speakers at some time in the future, the MS-10D can be used a dedicated headphone amplifier until the time that you decide to do so. I purchased my MS-10D for about $144 and added a three year extended warranty which brought the price to $159 even. For this price I have a hybrid integrated amplifier with tone controls, which also includes a very musical headphone amplifier. The value here is really incredible. Last but not least is the look of the Nobsound MS-10D. The MS-10D has to be one of the nicest looking offerings from China these days, while its compact size allows it to be placed almost anywhere. Moreover, the MS-10D never runs really hot, as so many other tube electronics do. Regardless of how many hours it is left on, the chassis gets warm; yet never hot due the bias of the circuit. I have heard that the MKII version of the Nobsound MS-10D (which includes Wi-Fi) tends to sound noisier than the standard version. However, I cannot attest to this having never heard the MKII version, so caveat emptor. After nearly six months using the MS-10D integrated amplifier I can highly recommend it. However, I would get the extended warranty which should be available for a nominal charge. Read full review
