Bought to loosen plant roots in pots where they have stuck to the side. Adjustable blade fixing point allows it to be long enough to reach to the bottom of most pots and, so far, has worked well. Not used for wood or metalworking. Because blade is only fixed at one end, it bends easily - unlike more rigid padsaws. As it uses hacksaw blades, replacements are plentiful and cheap.

    Handy Tool

    I wanted this tool as having no normal frame for a hacksaw it can be inserted into tight spaces and still make an effective cut. It hasn't been used yet but it'll be there when I need it.

    Not great, but can be helpful

    It's a great idea, but is very fiddly in practice. I broke the blade a couple of times before figuring out a way to use it. That said - when you've not got enough access to get a normal small hacksaw in - it's very useful
