    Craft lamp

    I like the fact you have 2 options with this lamp, a round sturdy base, or a clamp which fits to most table tops. The light is bright, however, it is rather limited in its moverability. This doesn't distract from the strong amount of light this generic form of lamp is capable of putting out. Though there are several pros there is one significant con. The shade becomes extremely hot. The bulb is exposed, and even with a lower wattage, the shade continues to heat up enough to cause me to be extremely careful when handling the lamp when it's been on a short time. One also has to be aware that the shade needs some time to cool. This makes it unsuitable for children to use, and great care is needed to not cover the lamp with anything till cool as there is a real risk of fire. Though I have ...

    Fine for me as am not using the faulty join

    It’s small and light which is what I wanted but it has a fault in its design. It has a clamp attachment that will (should) hold it to the edge of a desk or a bed headboard. Where the arm and the clamp join together with a male/femail join there is no grip or resistance. A smooth, circular, painted piece of metal in a smooth sleeve made of nylon has no grip and leaves this joint (only) at the mercy of gravity accidental knocks

    This is great little lamp for the price, smaller than I thought but only because I hadn't bothered to read the dimensions. Excellent value, the bulb cost almost as much as the lamp. Only comment, it can tip over on its base if extended too far, you need to weight it down. Otherwise as a workbench close working light couldn't be better

    I am just grateful that it worked as described. There's nothing worst than unpacking an item purchased online or otherwise only to find out that it doesn't work as described, but this item does what it says on the tin and in the long run, that's all we really want.
