I wanted to get this cookbook because I remember his cooking show that he did about ten years ago that the recipes he used was right out of this book. Real CAJUN!!! There are some great recipes in the book for dirty rice, chicken and sausage jambalaya,Justin's succotash or something, shrimp patties, shrimp ala creole, and much more. His Cajun personality comes out throughout the book as well. You will not be sorry in getting this book. I bought one for myself and a few for my friends. There are over 300 recipes for real home cookin'.
Love this cookbook! Used it for years but then it was lost in a move. So thankful I found it! Great recipes. Try the crabcakes!

This is one of the best cookbooks I have ever owned. Presentation of the recipes is very straightforward and there is enough background informatioon to keep you out of trouble. Some of the anecdotal information is hilarious. The recipes are mostly Lousiana Creole or Cajun and could add a new dimension to home cooking in your kitchen. The book itself is well illustrated, hardbound and large enough to be easy to read. Most of the ingredients can be found at your local grocery. They can be made as spicy as you wish.
This was a birthday gift for my adult son, who is a very accomplished cook. The book not only has good recipes, but it brought back many happy memories of Saturday afternoon TV, when we tried to watch Justin .
