    I'm really pleased with the Steven's Steel Bar. It came in a protective plastic tube that's great for storage or carrying. I'm just learning the steel guitar and very glad it was recommended in Joe Dochtermann's excellent Kindle book, "Learn to Play C6 Lap Steel Guitar". I made a couple of bars but they don't come close to this. It's well made, a perfect design, and easy to hold. It's surprisingly heavy, which means you exert little force. Hal R., Ohio ---

    The ORIGINAL(?) ergonomic steel guitar tone bar.

    The Stevens bar was one of the first (if not THE first) "ergonomic" steel guitar tone bar. Over the years, more comfortable designs have been developed. But the Stevens bar is still viable. I plan to modify mine to make it work better with some physical limitations that I have.

    Solid-feeling bar

    I'm using this bar on a six-string lap steel. It feels very substantial and fits my hand well. I'm still getting used to it but it's just what I had in mind.

    stevens bar

    just picked dobro guitar 2 months ago, have carper tunnel in left hand ,previously bought new bar this new bar is longer & covers width of fret better and mot important is lighter. since I am new the sound is the same to me but am satisfied I can continue to be able to play dobro.

    The Real Stevens Bar

    You can't do better than the real thing. This is the authentic Stevens Bar that has been used by steel guitar players for many, many years. It has a comfortable feel and good, solid weight and balance to it. Best of all, it is still made in the USA by the American Plating Company in Chicago.

    Unless you're old, this is just what you need.

    The product is fine for what it is supposed to do. For older people like myself, a larger and lighter bar might be better. However, for the standard dobro bar, this is it !
