I brought a large format HP Photosmart 8750 model. The information was pretty accurate, it was used but in good condition, just needed ink. I brought the printer at the fraction of the price, I needed a printer that would print in 13 X 19 glossy photo paper with high quality. All printers I have brought have been a disappointment, they print very well at the beginning then soon would lose the quality or refuse to print at all. I haven't had this printer for enough time to see if this true for this one but for right now it seems to be working.
This my fourth HP printer, my second large format photo printer. I, along with my associates, agree that HP makes the best printers. The 8750 is the first printer that I can rate as the perfect one. Its color reproduction is flawless. The print quality is unbelievable turning out photo enlargements which seem to look even better than the original. The technology used to provide accurate alignment is definitely the best I have ever seen. It is the first printer I have used that NEVER feeds more than one sheet at a time. It prevents many mistakes by sensing when paper size does not match presets or computer commands. I appreciate its quiet operation.
I've had a long relationship with HP Printers. After several years of using an HP-8150 which I just love, I purchased this HP-8750 as an upgrade to be able to print larger pictures. This unit was purchased used. I downloaded and installed the drivers from HP's website, hooked up the printer, loaded fresh cartridges in it and printed my 1st picture within an hour of receiving the printer from UPS. IT WAS GREAT! The prints are clear, sharp and color is amazing. From 4x6 to 8 1/2x11's it is just perfect. I do have some 13x19 paper but have not yet had an occasion to print something that large. All I know is this thing works great and I love it. Some reviews have indicated it uses a lot of ink, I don't know if thats true. As long as it prints as well as it does, I won't worry too much about the amount of ink it uses. Quality over quantity and this printer has the quality in spades. Great buy!Read full review
This printer is simply amazing. I used to own a 7150 Photosmart back in the day. Ever since then, I've fallen in love with the photosmarts. I needed a wide format size though, so I decided to try out the 8750 photosmart. This printer simply reestablished my faith in HP's photosmart line. The pictures are dashing and are exactly what you want. What you see on the screen is what you get in your print. I've had such bad experience with other printers where the colors are slightly off, or the printer constantly jams, or it always has software issues. 8750 is so easy to use. The huge array of specialty inks cater to my need for photos, B&W, and just generic black text documents. Simply. Just. Amazing. The best B&W photos since the days when I'd develop photos myself in the dark room. The only negative feature I can bring up about this printer is that it does go through ink, but no where near as much as other photo printers on the market. The cartridges are not too badly priced either (about $20 to $30 each). Each cartridge also comes with the print head on it, so every time you change cartridges, it's like you're getting a new print head, which means accurate prints every time - And no cleaning print heads ever again! Long story short, if a piano fell on top of my 8750 photosmart today, tomorrow I'd be at the store getting another one exactly like it again. This is a printer that was made to make customers happy. I completely recommend it.Read full review
I am delighted with the new HP Photosmart 8750 InkJet. I have been using it for about 6 months. As a graphics artist I make a lot of prints of digital images. I create reference material to create artwork and for some paintings I may print up to 30 photos, all in different color formats. I do a lot of printing. The HP Photosmart 8750 is the latest addition to my arscenal of printers. This is my third HP printer, I bought my first one about 8 years ago. The first one was a 820Cxi, then the HP1220C and now the Photosmart 8750. I did try other printers, but I could not find the quality that I have always found the HP products. I love the 8750 for the picture and color quality it gives me, it is excellent. Did I say, the color is excellent! OH I did, didn't I? It does not use a lot of ink either, another big plus. On straight photos you can't beat it. And I often use a lot of graphics programs, overlapping program on program and even changing photo formats a few times and the printer will print a fair representation of my color combos even in the most extreme cases, I have enough to projetct the image to paint. These images are not ment to be printed at all. Other printers would just make a blob of indistinguishable ink. I have two HP 2335 monitors in my studio, one at my computer and have another one at my drafting table where I reference the photo on the monitor as I paint. The HP Photosmart 8750 also prints Text very well As a professional artist I require a state of the art printer , the best the money can buy. I don't have time to play around with adjusting everything to accomodate a printing unit, I want a printing unit to accomodate me and I am still delighted with this unit. I have no complaints as of September 2007. I have never been disapointed with the HP printers. I did try another high-end brand not HP, at my sister's house for her, who is also an artist, but I found that the prints were more like black and white photos with color glazed over them. The HP 8750 is excellent in that it prints images with much more pleasing colors. There are better and more expensive units out there, you can pay up to a quarter of a million dollars for a printer and even more. But for what I wanted to pay and the quality that I was looking for I am very please with my purchase.Read full review
