Awesome product, full safety gear required for using this hobby cream, but the results are amazing. It stated on the instructions leave on for 1-3 minutes, but for really great results, I have found it needs to stay on the glass for about 10 minutes. I really enjoy using this cream, saving the seller, as I will be back for more in the future.

    Excellent product.

Never having attempted to etch glass previously I was a little nervous particularly as I was using toughened glass. However fear has turned to confidence. Armour Etch is easy to use and gives excellent results. The instructions suggest shaking the bottle before use, but this didn't seem to have much effect on the product so I stirred it with a bit of scrap wood. I am delighted with the product and have just ordered a second bottle. Looks like the start of a new hobby!

  • New lease of life for spectacles

I didn't buy this for glass etching. I bought it to try and restore my spectacles, which were unusable due to the coating on the plastic lenses being so fogged and scratched that I could no longer see through them. Specsavers were most unhelpful, as due to Covid lockdown etc I had not had a recent eye test and they would not make me a replacement set from my old prescription. So go for broke! Applied the cream to both sides of the lenses with an artists paintbrush. Left for three minutes, then wiped the cream off with paper towel and disposed. Rinse the spectacles very thoroughly making sure there is no paste left, particularly around the nosepice and hinges. Then rinse again just to be sure - you do not want any residue left on the glasses near your eyes! Result- crystal clear lenses, as ...

  • Works really well!

I have been wanting to try Armour Etch for some time and I finally took the plunge. Its pretty easy to use but I do recommend using gloves as suggested. Face mask and eye wear if you are not in a ventilated room or you are using a brush that can flick the product. My first go was a pint glass with my local football teams logo. Its not perfect as I didn't get the mask completely flat causing bleeds. So on curvy objects make sure you get it utterly flat! As YouTube videos suggest flat objects are best which is what I'm doing next.

  • Fantastic crafting, gift idea.

I have worked my way through a few bottles of this now. Make wonderful personalised gifts Using stick on letters. Can personalised glasses, with name and occasion. It makes a gift of bottle of wine, that extra special. Have used it to personalised glass vases, with flowers. Named glass baubles for everyone at our Xmas lunch as table gift. Been very useful in creating a sympathy vase, personalised with their name, a gift to treasure and keep and lot less expensive then a floral tribute. I would know as an ex- florist. The uses are endless. So get creating.... Before using, get some inspiration and know how of YouTube. Happy crafting.

  • So easy and effective

This etching cream is simple to use. I was a bit dubious about just leaving it on the glass for 1 minute but it worked brilliantly. The product will last a long time as, even though a thick layer is needed, it can be scraped off before washing and put back in the container. Brilliant value for money. I'd highly recommend.
