Works brilliantly!
I bought one of these for my STD 305M. It has an unusual bearing on my particular deck that has no ball bearing at the base. Instead there is a raised section that makes a small point of contact with the spindle. I think there used to be a dome of PTFE there that had long since worn away. I placed the 7mm piece that was supplied by SRM Tech at the bottom of the bearing housing, and replaced the oil. Rotation is now vastly improved, and the slight scraping and "swishing" sound that I had before is now gone! Excellent, well recommended!I bought one of these for my STD 305M. Small modifications with large change in quality sound for the better
It's such an unapreciated modification because of what it is till you hear what it does . It's so small . Some special turntable oil and the teflon piece that goes inside of the well where the center spindle rides on . Even though the pieces involved are small the differences heard are not . With them in place there is a highten sence of fluidity . The music sounds more coherent , of one piece . There are more dynamics involved , upper and lower . Very highly recommended .It's such an unapreciated modification because of what it is till you hear what it does . It's so small . A very good upgrade
Like a lot of decks my record player had a ball at the bottom of the main bearing. This PTFE disc gave a pleasing improvement and with the new oil should give years of service life.

Does what the tin says!
Works really well! The oil is awsome and the teflon pad is a nice bonus. Haven´t done any rumble measurements but the bearing seems to operate more smoothly. For the small cost it´s a no brainer.
