Really impressed with this, the bigger birds like pigeons can’t get in but blackbirds and starlings can and all birds that are smaller can also get in, I’m able to make sure that these birds get their food rather than being bullied by the bigger birds, would definitely recommend

Definitely stops pigeons, my main gripe! Once in situ, pigeon circled it divers of times, flew off and returned twice, more circling but eventually left, totally defeated! Very pleased and would highly recommend if you want to feed smaller birds only and not gas guzzling wood pigeons who eat the entire food supply in one sitting

Does the job and top quality.

This is perfect for keeping feral pigeons, wood pigeons and anything bigger off the feed. This allows many of the small ground feeders like dunnocks and blackbirds to feed in peace. Watching the feral pigeon going around and around and around trying to get in was hilarious too! It got so annoyed that it even tried biting the metal bars!! The laughter is worth the price of this cage :) It is also excellent quality and really is worth the price.

  • Most critical review

Pigeons have sussed this bit of kit.

All but the fattest feral pigeons have been able to figure out how to get in so I can't imagine starlings would have any problem. Not sure what to do with it tbh. Perhaps Portsmouth Pigeons are a little more svelte, agile or determined. Was thinking of wiring around the the lower cage.

  • Stop the pigeon!

I wanted something to keep the fat greedy pigeons from nicking all the bird seed. It certainly does the trick, the pigeons can't get in, no matter how hard they try and the smaller birds can get through the gaps easily enough, including the blackbirds. They're a bit wary of it mind. Its taken them a little while to get used to stepping inside, although I have seen quite a few now, blackbirds included. I took the chains off because they weren't really doing anything and I thought they might be scaring off the little birds, reflecting off the sun like they do. Over all l'm very happy with it, its good and sturdy and should last years and years. I'm off to put some bread out for the pigeons now, can't help but feel sorry for them!

  • Needs refinement

This feeder does not keep the larger birds from accessing the food! I have had to modify the bars to keep them out. Within minutes of setting the feeder up the gulls had got their heads through the bars, knocked the food out and then proceeded to ‘hoover’ up the seed. I would not recommend for a garden that has gulls or birds of the crow family.
