Arrived in good time, but one half of the paddle was imperfect. It has grooves and marks, where the other side is perfect. Contacted seller, who told me these glaring imperfections are ‘normal’. Anyway, paddle does the job, but the grooves in the shaft can be felt through the covering, so will probably cause blisters faster on one hand compared to the other. Why can’t ‘new’ things arrive in 100% god condition these days? Seller made no offer of part refund, or replacement.

It’s okay....
Let’s just start off, for the price, it’s more than acceptable, if you’re looking for a cheap first paddle then you’ll be pleased, and so was i. However, the holes for adjusting the angle are not very accurate, and the metal pin that locates the two half’s started to rust very quickly. It’s been used at sea, so I come close to forgiving that with salt water as it won’t affect use for a long time. But a little disappointed still! Also, the paddle collects water which is also annoying. Having said all that, for the price, what do you expect? "Must buy" kayak paddle for sport or hobby
I bought this reasonably priced paddle not expecting the world, but what a surprise when it was delivered. No fancy packaging, just plainly wrapped to keep it looking good. The real surprise was when I put it together. It is light very strong and looks like it is made from a composite carbon. It handles well in the water and truly pitches into the air for a minimum of drag. I've spent £300 on paddles that aren't a patch on this one. I was expecting an alluminium one for this price but this superb piece of gear is far better than that. Its well balanced and floats when lost (yes, I've had cheap Chinese ones that sank after 30 seconds). This one is perfect for the sportsman and priced for hobbyist.
