This unit is not compatible with the R171 SLK. It is poorly made, does not fit the dash and will not connect to the amplifier. This company claims to be in Hong Kong but is registered to a small warehouse in Hampshire with the parent company to an industrial unit in Walsall. Avoid at all costs, it cost me £365 to have this piece of junk installed and then removed. The interface is terrible too. If you really need Android Auto or Carplay in your Mercedes, go to a reputable dealer.
