Easy To Fit. Save yourself 50 Quid Labour!
If you're even only the slightest bit handy, these really are a simple fit. The front pair only need three screws to be removed from the existing wheel-arch trim, whilst you put the flap in place and replace the screws. They give you new ones too but I never really needed them. If you're really crafty you don't even need to remove the wheels. Steering hard to one side lets you access two outer ones from one side and the innermost one on the other. Then reverse the process. Refitting the screws after putting the flaps in place is just the reverse of this. The rear ones are slightly trickier to fit and they need two screws each and two of those plastic mushrooms trim-clips each. Curiously they only give you 2, not 4 mushrooms. The two screws within the wheel arch can't really be accessed with the wheel still there. To raise my car, I used a trolley jack under the suspension arm as the wheel comes off the ground almost straightaway. Besides, Kia don't supply a jack with my Xceed PHEV. Please make sure you secure the car as you may find yourself partially under the rear valance to get the two mushrooms out and also when you replace them. This is easier with the special tool for removing the mushrooms - it has a split end like like a miniature crow-bar although a cutlery fork could work too. Just wash it and sneak it back into the drawer before anyone notices! Timings? Front: (About 10 minutes per side after you figure out the steering from side to side hack). Rear: More like 20 minutes per side depending on how easily your wheel is to remove and replace.
