Fitted the winch & it didn't work out of the box. When we messaged Maltings they said there is a known faulty switch issue sometimes and they carry spares & can send a replacement. Not really what you want to hear when it needs the full front of the vehicle removing for access & in our case the reply was too late as the customer's vehicle needed to be returned back to them. Then it cost us a lot to ship the faulty item back as its V heavy. Wish we'd known of the known faulty issue before buying!

Not used it yet but the appearance is of great quality, comes with remotes, plasma rope etc, as a brand is quite reputable so expect good things...

A desirable item that will have to be locked up at night!
The winch arrived on time, well packed and complete. We were impressed by the internal layout and attention to the safety and protection afforded by the bespoke polystyrene boxing. The winch has not yet been tested. One possible future adverse event was the fact that the skeleton frame surrounding the cable drum was very close to the fully wound cable. Lateral winching can sometimes produce a 'bunching' of the cable on one side of the drum leading to uneven winding. This event could interfere with the winch drum framing which is already tight. There are a few other latent issues which you will no doubt iron out in time. The winch is hugely impressive and has been greatly admired.The winch arrived on time, well packed and complete.
