In every sense a heavyweight
I have a recent MacBook Air. It's a good piece of kit and easy to take places, but it wasn't beefy enough to do all the things I wanted. I needed more memory, more storage, more horsepower... I wanted a MacBook Pro, in other words. This machine is rather exactly what I was pining for. It's a Mac, so of course it took almost no time at all for me to set it up with everything I needed, transfer my mailbook and so forth. It runs High Sierra without a murmur of complaint. In use it's so much better and more usable than my wife's Windows lappy that it's as though it's out of a different century - though in fact it's older than her beast - just faster, more sophisticated, easier to use by far... I could go on. Negatives? My Apple Watch won't unlock it. It uses battery much faster than my ... I have a recent MacBook Air. Why pay more, good product from good ebayer!
Had lots of Macs over the years, all great and this one is too. It's US configuration keyboard, but makes hardly any difference - you can change the keyboard over to UK when you do the first set-up. A good buy compared to other UK MacBooks.
