    This is the 3rd battery I've got for this HP Pavilion 15-CW1511 laptop. The first two (from another supplier) didn't work (all right part numbers etc). Early days, but this recognised and charging. There's some code the HP battery manager must check, and - no code, no go. So, moral is, buy a genuine HP replacement which is what this is. May cost more, but it works. (Why HP lock out 3rd party batteries, and whether they should, is quite another matter).

    Good but be aware of the restart issue

    Good value, original product. Very quickly despatched. Main negative is that your BIOS needs updating ie the computer won't launch without warning you each time that the CMOS settings need updating so you need to click ok and then restart.

    Sadly after a long wait, not as expected

    I was pleased with the battery on day one as it ran fully charged for approx 5 hrs. Unfortunately on day two from fully charged it only ran for approx 3 hrs. Now after daily charging I am finding it running out of power within 2 - 3 hrs. This is day five and despite not using the laptop, even whilst switched off the battery is not holding the charge.

    Higher cost but worth it.

    Arrived promptly. Worth the extra over cheaper unbranded products as many of it's functions re appeared after using a cheaper battery which expired after 1 year!! Eg..battery information returned to the laptop lower tray.
