The author, George McCracken, is an art authority, not a historian, and thus the language used in the text reflects a lack of knowledge of Native American history and is written from a Western "superior race" perspective. • A Treasure For Less Than The Price Of A Malt!

Love this book! Very personal introspective into George Catlin's early life and how it shaped his incredible career--which you won't find in any other book. In fact, my husband and I are so attached to it that we both have our own copy in our seperate librairies.
