    Pike Fishing on the Norfolk Broads

    My first reaction is I wish he'd had the book professionally edited - or even proof read. Constant tryperrors, spelling mistakes, poor grammar and syntax rather spoiled the book for me. Graphics aren't wonderful either. That said, he produced the book because he's a fisherman not an author - and catch big pike is something he's certainly done. I have to be convinced that even the angling world are particularly interested in thirty or forty year old disagreements - even if the author feels it his bounden duty to defend his friend and mentor. Better left out. Everyone has their own theories on pike - and Derrick Amies' are more successful than most. Maybe putting over these theories could have been a mite more lucid.
