The BT Advanced Phone has Truecall technology included, which lets it manage calls,especially nuisance calls. Most of the time your phone will hardly ring, the phone intercepts calls from unknown numbers and plays a message asking callers to give their name before ringing to tell you there is a call from someone. You can then choose whether to accept, reject, or block the call. If you block a number, they can't call again, the phone will block it permanently. Most other BT phones don't do this, so check when ordering that you are buying an Advanced Phone with Truecall technology. This phone is excellent for people who get a lot of nuisance calls, it stops automated calls which can't say a name, and lets you decide whether to accept any new caller or not without speaking to them unless you ... Easy to use
Easy to set up and easy to use, and good sound quality. I later bought another additional handset and charger unit. That was easy to register with the existing handsets.....apparently you can have as many as 6 handsets including the master base and answerphone. It picked up all the data on the original handsets automatically. Great product and very reliable.

Too early to tell how long it will last.
So far so good, but it is far too early to tell how long it will remain efficient. This is the third modern telephone that I have had to buy, as each one failed after only a couple of years use. My old dial phone was over fifty years old and was still going strong, sadly I replaced it with a modern one which are obviously built to fail so the we are obliged to add them to the mountains of useless consumer rubbish that modern life forces us to purchase.So far so good, but it is far too early to tell how long it will remain efficient. This is the third modern telephone that I have had to buy, as each one failed after only a couple of years use. Does the job well at a fair discount price.
Pro's - Seems to be fairly well made, Call blocker, sound is fine. Instructions ok. Cons, only one really and most of the BT phones seem to be the same - The phone does not sit well in the base, it is a bit top heavy and any slight knock can unseat the phone and put it on the floor, table or shelf. I wonder how many have been broken this way.
