Although this Teabag Squeezer works truthfully I have to say I was disappointed with the quality. Yes I only paid a low price but. The material used had sharp edges on it. It's made of a very thin metal that bends out of shape if your a tad heavy handed, ie squeezing the bag to tight. On the plus size it does the job, its cheep, looks good with its "shinney" finnish and you don't get your fingers burnt. A cheap and cheerful gadget that does the job, but be gentle with it and I'm sure it will last quite awhileAlthough this Teabag Squeezer works truthfully I have to say I was disappointed with the quality. Looks good but too weak to be useful
This product looks good. One could say, it looks like the real thing. The trouble is, it can't seriously be considered a tea bag squeezer, so it's not the real thing in my opinion. It is shiny. My version lacked any of the rough edges that I have seen on other descriptions. It came attached to a nicely color printed cardboard backing. On that backing it was called a Tea Bag Squeezer, just as described in the advertisement. What I found is that the metal is far too light a grade. It is so soft it lacks spring ability in the bend so after squeezing, it tends to stay flat and needs to be carefully (quite gently) opened back up for further use. Furthermore, this softness in the metal means that if you are lucky enough to fit a wet teabag within the tongs opening and then try to squeeze it, ... This product looks good. One could say, it looks like the real thing. The trouble is, it can't seriously be considered a tea bag squeezer, so it's not the real thing in my opinion. It is shiny. So, strictly speaking, it is not as advertised, even though it certainly looks good. It is very cheap so I guess I go what I paid for, in a sense. I suggest that if, like me, you actually want a tool to retrieve and squeeze hot, wet tea bags, that you pay a little more and buy a real one.

postive use of tea bag tongs
This product does all we require of it. we have a vast experience with previous examples & being made form stailess steel it tarnishes little but they are washed many times daily & last a long time. The failure point is they eventully fracture across the top bend through possible over flexing in use

A-mazing tee bag strainers. NASA standard tech.
I purchased this item as I was fed up burning my fingers trying to squeeze every bit of flavour out of the cheap awful tea bags that I buy. In saying that they are better than the hideous tea bags I used to steal from my work, when I was a cook at 'Spoons. They were truly awful. They didn't even have a real name; it was 'eclipse' or something like that. People at work used to say they tasted like sweepings off the floor. I actually thought that was a compliment. They would only be sweepings off the floor if perhaps the factory cats had used the floor as a litter tray, it had dried in and then maybe got swept up amongst a few tea leaves. Anyway these bad boy tongs do it. They are so light and flexible they must be made of some space metal. If its not nano tech it must be alien technology. ... When you use them you can feel there is something more to them. Other worldly. Frequently, when using them to squeeze a tee bag I get the feeling someone is watching. Not in a good way, but in a scary abduction kind of way. To beat this I usually lock all the doors and close the curtains before I use them. If its after dark I hide under the kitchen table when I make a brew. You can't be too complacent. Well of course you can be complacent. However, if you use these tongs and then wake up on Venus or Jupiter, strapped to a table. And I mean strapped face down to a table. Well, all I'm saying is don't say you weren't warned. I have not tried to use the tongs as ice cube lifters yet. Im not sure how that would go. I think they would have to be square ice cubes. Any spherical ice cubes (if you can call round ice a 'cube') would be pretty tricky to handle I would think. Although not advertised as a feature I have also found them pretty good at lifting my change out of the plastic change thing on the bus. You know the little shoot the driver used to give you your money. A few people behind me have moaned at the alleged 'time' it takes me to recover say 57p, but in terms of hygiene defence its a small price to pay. Especially useful if you are on the X25 to Cumbernauld any time after midnight. Oh aye, also great for toakkin blaw. No more burnt fingers when you hit a bit of incendiary red leb. Again though, if using, be aware of abduction potential. Especially if toakkin on the X25. And more especially if anywhere near Abronhill.

Multi-Squeezer Awesome Tongs
The quality of these tongs are awesome; nice and sturdy not flimsy. Have found many more uses for these tongs and not just to prevent burning my fingers on hot tea bags. I use them when I need to take oiled, sun-dried tomatoes from a jar etc. Am impressed that they don't bend/loose shape when squeezing the tongs, and would recommend these to everyone. In fact, I suggest you buy 2; 1 for hot tea bags, and the 2nd for every other use. You won't be sorry.The quality of these tongs are awesome; nice and sturdy not flimsy.
