Based on the adaptation of a BBC miniseries of the same name, House of Cards is set in Washington, D.C., where democrat Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) serves as the House Majority Whip and represents South Carolina's 5th congressional district. Tension rises between Frank and Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney) as the situation with China deteriorates amidst an energy crises. Robin Wright, Kate Mara, and Corey Stoll also star. Robin Wright won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an actress in a television series drama 2014.
