    The cat loves it!

    This has saved my sofas from my little tiger! I put it near to where she usually threatens to scratch and she flings herself at it and claws her way up and down like a loony! Very very strong, it doesn't topple over. shows no sign of wear, and actually looks quite smart next to my contemporary furniture.

    The finish isn’t like the photo & both cats ignore it

    My boys love a good scratch & have happily used many posts over the years. At 6kg each they are big & long & love a good stretch at the same time. But no amount of coaxing, cajoling with toys or catnip will entice them. The finish On the ends is pretty poor too, although the actual pillar seems okay. Priceless if loved, an expensive mistake if not.

    Excellent large sturdy scratching post

    Pros: Good solid sturdy construction, excellent height and stability, i.e. enough for a cat to fully stretch out and it doesn't wobble at all. Sisal doesn't unravel like other scratching posts made with coiled string. Cons: Purely aesthetic. The pale colour of the sisal (this is going to look grubby before too long) and the top and base are not especially attractive. Ideally I'd have liked the sisal in a darker colour such as charcoal, with spray lacquered base and top to match. It's only for this reason that I've given 4 stars instead of 5.

    Best scratch post I could find

    I have a very tall slim cat and this is the perfect size for him as he can stretch out fully. It was easy to put together and has a sturdy base so does not tip over and the sisal is vertical (which is different to most posts I have seen) and seems to suit him better. Even the internal cardboard and cardboard box were of interest to him! I am even thinking of getting another for upstairs.

    Brilliant great quality

    So glad I bought this rather than a cheaper alternative. It is really good quality and looks like it will last! My kitten approves, great for scratching and it doesn't look out of place in our living room. We have added a slightly bigger top to it and it has become our kitties favourite place to sleep too. Highly recommended.
