Great little speaker with extra functions
This speaker was purchased to supplement the built in speakers of the PC when using Zoom since the latter seems to have reduced the sound output. For this task it works pretty well although getting the sound level correct was difficult as there is no way to see the level at which it has been set. It is also not clear whether it retains this level after switch off to the next use. My feeling is that it probably does not. Sound up and sound down are achieved by holding down the appropriate buttons rather than just pressing them. It is probably best used with the PC to use sound app sound slider to get a sensible level of output. The flashing lights may annoy some folk and can be switched off by a long press on the Mode button. This setting is lost on switch off. The mode button also ... The mode button also leads to the three modes; Blue Tooth, Aux (i.e. wired input) and radio. The radio (FM) uses the USB cable as an aerial. Given the standard socket, a longer USB cable can be substituted to improve the chances of picking up a station. The middle button seems to switch it on and the 'volume' buttons are meant to be used to set it hunting for a channel. My experience is that it picks up few channels, but once it has found one then the sound can be quite good. Seeking a particular station is probabably a route to frustration. It seems to do what it says on the box which is what one likes from a product. It seems well made and robust too. That it is able to do more than the task for which it was bought is an added bonus.
