Synopsis
Inside the Lion's Den is the remarkable story of Ken Shamrock's ascent to the top of reality martial combat. A legendary Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter and former professional wrestler, Shamrock is an inspiration to thousands. This is the story of his rise from a troubled youth to champion in the ring in both America and Asia. The first "King of Pancrase" in the Japanese fighting circuit, and the first "Superfight Champion" of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Shamrock also founded the Lion's Den in Northern California, a facility that has trained many champion MMA fighters. Readers and fans will learn the secrets of Shamrock's ultra-efficient submissions fighting system and the training regimen that he and his trainees followed. With over 150 dynamic photos, Inside the Lion's Den is both an inspiring portrait of the fighter known as the "World's Most Dangerous Man" and an invaluable guide for the martial artist, novice and master alike.

Item condition was described as Very Good, the item received seemed brand new, and shipped fast. Great value! Despite being packed well for the cost (free!), the item was handled roughly during shipping causing minor dings to the edges. This is no fault of the seller, just something to keep in mind as a risk incurred with items shipped within the US. Will purchase from this seller again! Thank you!

Thank you for the exceptional service! The book arrived in excellent condition, exactly as described. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it was packaged and even more so by its early arrival, which was ahead of my expectations. The price was very reasonable, and the shipping costs were fair. I truly appreciate your attention to detail and efficient handling of my order. Thank you once again for providing such a positive experience!

Awesome seller - great communication, item looks new as described, fair price, smooth transaction, fast ship. Recommend this seller to all. Book is quite thick and looks like it came right off the store shelf - perfect! Great collection of stories by various authors - can’t wait to start this one. Ought to be a fun read. Thank you!

  • READABLE MMA BIOGRAPHY/HISTORY/ INSTRUCTION

This book helps gives good insight into why Ken is so big on honor, pride, and respect. A very easy read takes you through his nomadic survival days as a kid, on to his tough-guy discovery period, through the early years of the UFC. Some interesting background details are supplied- such as what it's like 'inside the lion's den' and why legalities made Shamrock vs. Severn 2 so lackluster. The final third of third of book is Shamrock supplying his advice as a fighter, submission holds, escapes, and strategies. I reccomend this book for all fighters and MMA fans who should pay homage and learn the history of a legendary pioneer. I also reccomend this book for a non-fans who may not understand why fighters fight. Read this book and you will learn something.
