They work and with care, should last more than a season.
These are the "official" bags to put your fruit in ready for pressing so that it doesn't fall out of the spaces between the slats. They are made OK though will develop holes if the bag gets caught around the press blocks, e.g. due to over-filling. These are designed for the presses that have a central spindle. They have a gap in the centre of the base. Make sure you fit the bag over the spindle (through the gap) and down to the bottom of the slatted "cage" before you put the pressing apparatus on. Add the fruit (e.g. grapes) in situ, then fold the top of the bag over up to the spindle, then put the blocks and heavy compression nut on. If you attempt to do this the other way around, without threading the bag on first, you'll get an uneven press. I'm recommending the bags because there is no ... Good value is questionable, for a plastic net bag I thought they were quite expensive. However, they work and are designed for this purpose. If you don't over fill and keep the bag under the pressing blocks it should last more than one season (boil before reuse).
