Fantastic tool and easy to use
This tool is a must for any DIYer or pro alike. Comes with some great accessories all in an handy tool bag. Used it to help cut the flooring and waste pipes and made easy work of it using the appropriate blades. The light and quick blade release are a great bonus. Will have many more jobs for this handy piece of kit. Only downside is that the washer which grips non quick release blades could be more substantial as it does not grip as good as the quick release blades.This tool is a must for any DIYer or pro alike. DWE315B 240v Multi Cutter
I chose this for several reasons. The ease of blade change is obviously handy and works perfectly. I have a strong dislike of slide switches and separate variable speed controls and the switch on this cutter gets over that very well. Its a little bigger than some others , but is easier to hold steady for more precise cuts. Call me old fashioned but since I no longer have to worry about site work,and it's insurance driven requirements,a 240v tool is ideal for most of the work I am likely to encounter. A robust and well designed and well made tool.I chose this for several reasons. The ease of blade change is obviously handy and works perfectly. I have a strong dislike of slide switches and separate variable speed controls and the switch on this cutter gets over that very well. Loved it so much I bought two more for my sons.
The two main plus points with this style of multi tool are the quick release (No tool required) blade mechanism and the extra long lead which for many indoor jobs negates the need for an extension lead. I bought one, couldn’t believe I had managed so many years without one and then went out and bought two more. One for each son. Recommended.

A good weight in the hand.
It's De Walt! It's a good weight in the hand, controllable and does the job. Yes, it sails through nails, but screws are another matter. I found and angle grinder best for screws. Wear eye protection. There's no dust collection facility. You can sand in awkward places. I would recommend it.
