On receipt I was a bit dubious as this had a funny blueish tinge and smelled like the funnel exhaust fumes of a car ferry! So I feared it was some unrefined industrial fuel [Paraffin I've bought from camping shops has always been clearer and smelled more er... "paraffiny"].
However, I filled my oil lamps with it today and was pleasantly surprised to find it burns nice and clean and with no nasty smell --other than the "normal" oil lamp smell, which I find quite homely.
