About this product

Product Information

Originally introduced in 1994 as an arcade gallery shooter, the game focuses on the player's ability to aim accurately and shoot fast. In 1998, the idea remains the same, though Namco has made a few adjustments for this home version. Point Blank offers the full arcade game with new gallery shooting levels, a Training Mode, and a multiplayer mode (head-to-head or tournament).

There is also a Quest mode set on Point Blank Island where you must find all five pieces of a priceless object: the legendary Gunball. Gameplay involves acquiring gold, buying items (such as clothing and a machine gun), checking a map to help you navigate the island, talking to people, and shooting cows, bad guys, and color-coded targets in a shooting gallery. Point Blank offers more than 70 shooting scenarios, and supports up to eight gamers with two-player teams taking turns.

  • Point Blank 1 Great Gun Games Without Violence

The Point Blank Series of Playstation games are very fun. They remind you of carnival/fair games. They are great party entertainment. Gameplay is unique - shooting balloons, barrels, and quick target practice. In some games you shoot a target multiple times in order to control the action on the screen. The best thing about each of these games is that they are playable on the Playstaion 1 2 and 3. There is absolutely NO VIOLENCE or age inappropriate gameplay. Great for hand eye coordination and truly a different experience each time you play. Caveats: 1) these games require a GUNCON compatible light gun (or two for multiple players) for the controllers 2) the games REQUIRE a glass tube based TV - no LCDs Plasmas, Flat screens (unless flat glass) Number 1 in the series is just as ...

  • Point Blank Playstation Game

Great game for all ages. I have one and purchased another for my sister and her family because we all get together to challenge each other. It uses the specail gun and can be played by many ages because it does NOT have the blood and guts you see with most shooting games. I think this game is great and so does everyone in my family, parents it is easy to play with your kids it doesn't take a massive skill level and yet it is fun.

  • Point Blank 1

I love this game it is one of the greatest games they every made for playstation. I wish you could use the original guncon on the playstation 2 because the guncon 2 doesn't work right with this game but other then that it's great. I decided to buy this game along with the others, point blank 2 and point blank 3 because I had them all before and decided that I had to have them again. It's a great game.

  • This game is a blast!

It's a classic. A must-have if you own a guncon controller. I bought this game to fill my thirst for nostalgia, and I wasn't sure whether I'd enjoy it as much as I did when I was younger, but my doubts were ended right after I played the first mini game. It's just as fun as I remembered.
