Great CD
I decided to buy this CD because I am a big Blackmore's Night fan, and it was around Christmas time. I really like the whole CD. It has a excellent and original covers of several classic Christmas songs (a lot of Chirstmas songs wokr really well with a renaissance flavor), but they still stay true to the spirit of the songs. Also inluded are a lot of bonus tracks, either the original version of some of their older songs or re-workings of some of them. It gives a good taste of what their other stuff is like. Other than what I have just said, there isn't much else I can say that can desribe it. How to Feel Christmas-y!
I first fell in love with their song, "Christmas Eve." It just puts you in the mood for Christmas! Then I heard the rest of the album and fell in love with all the tracks. But I won't be putting this one away till next Christmas; whenever I need to feel the peace and love of Christmas on a warm July day, I will put on this cd and be transported. This is the first time I have experienced Blackmore's Night (love that title!) and I look forward to finding other albums. By all means..purchase this one. I love that kind of music. It's actualy guitar legend R. Blackmore playing music of 17.century, and with excelent voice C. Night it's realy make me feel good.
