Not what I expected
This is a good item but the description and photo are misleading. I expected to receive scales with a stainless steel platform and had no problem paying extra for it. But the scales are no different from any of the others they sell at a lower cost, so I could have had a white set at around 40% less with the same plastic platform. This is not for you if you are going to buy stainless steel kitchen scale
Actually the surface of the scale is just 0.1 mm thick metal sticker under the 4.0 mm thick glass, so far away from stainless steel. Mininum capacity is 5 g. Capacitive buttons are great, but doesn't always respond to touch. Otherwise well built, no additional sounds were heard during turning it.

I chose these scales because the digital display is bright and to one side. This makes it much easier to read your weight when you have a large item. Unfortunately it is not accurate enough if you need an accurate weight. You will get slightly different readings if the weight of the item is not spread evenly and even on an evenly spread item, the weight can vary by a g or two with each weighing. Fine if you need to know what band of postage your item fits into or if your recipe is not too weight dependent but if you need to be accurate then these aren't the ones for you.I chose these scales because the digital display is bright and to one side. Great scales
Very simple and easy to use. Fitted batteries, switched it on and started weighing, couldn't be simpler. If I had to be critical I would say I was surprised at how small a footprint it is, large items may make it difficult to read the LCD but I've not had that problem yet.

Great for my needs.
This does what it says, and quite well too. Ideal for my needs. Wipes clean easily and the weighting plate is a fair size, better than the round scales you see. My only bug bear is that it is slightly unbalanced, i.e. when you turn it on/off it tips forward, so just be aware to remove items before turning off if you are a little heavy handed, like me.
