If you wish to continue to have opinions vs facts filling your head and influencing your beliefs invest in this book. Cocaine hit the US hard in the 80's & 90's and is unrelated to marijuana usage although if one is prone to using drugs (this includes prescription meds) for recreational purposes it's likely they will use or abuse any mind altering substance available. People do get arrested and thrown in prison for possession of marijuana in small amounts, they are likely to spend more time in jail than a child molester or rapist. While those horrible and violent marijuana abusers (sarcasm) don't fill our prisons is 100% a screwed up system. It's the CBD in marijuana not the THC (euphoric provider in MJ) that is and continues to be proven to be a great resolve for some serious medical conditions. Cancer patients among other terminally ill folks commonly consume the THC strain as it helps calm the GI tract and ease pain among other things. I really can't stand false information. Anyone can wright a book these days and the sheep will follow ignorantly. This book makes me feel sick for it filled me with spoonful after spoonful of utter crap. Read full review

Read this book if you want a look into a subject that most people are unaware of or believe that cannabis is harmless. We are not getting the full story and very few people are looking into this. Everyone who smokes pot does not get mentally ill or violent, but we can't overlook the evidence that many know first hand. Let's study the effects of marijuana and not take the word of political correctness and those who have an agenda. I f there are medical uses, prove it. The dangers are there. It may be too late for some. I have first hand experience from a loved one who is incarcerated.

Alex Berenson had no particular thoughts about marijuana, pro or con, until he had a conversation with his wife who is a mental health professional. She told Alex about the numerous patients that they are seeing with multiple mental health issues. That peaked his interest and he embarked on in depth research that dated back over a century. What Alex presents are facts, not opinion. As Illinois was considered the legalization of pot, I purchased multiple copies of this book and delivering them, by hand, to elected officials, from the governor of Illinois on down to my local state and city officials. Illinois is a bankrupt state with some of the highest taxes in the US, so they could not resist the allure of another vice that they could legalize and then tax.
