Activision's ante into the crowded table of 2005 poker simulations is based on the World Series of Poker, featuring the rules and regulations supported by the annual tournament and presented in the style of ESPN's television coverage. Virtual card sharks can play any variation sanctioned by the World Series, including Five Card Draw, Seven Card Stud, Omaha, and Texas Hold 'Em.<br><br>Players are represented in the game by a custom character, created using the same editing engine found in recent Tony Hawk games. In-game leader boards track all the important stats. "Multiplayer," "Quick Play," and "Career" modes are offered, along with an extensive tutorial designed with input from professional poker players.

The game is fun. graphics are terrible but the game is more about the actual gameplay of texas hold em, omaha hi lo, etc. and the gameplay is good. the tournaments are easy until you face the top 100 and then they are the professionals, thats when it gets tough. overall, good game, worth 10 bucks.

Great poker game. Totally beats both World Championship Poker I and II. You can bluff and bet whatever you want, can't do that in the other games. See my reviews of those games both are very poor games. You can fast forward through the hands that you are not involved in, greatly speeds up game play. This game is cheaper than the others and offers a truer poker experience. If you want to play Texas hold 'em and other poker games then this is the only game you need.Great poker game. This game is awesome. I no longer need to go to the casino to get my fix! I have tried other casino games on the system but this one is definately the best hands down. The play is fast enough to keep interest. I hate waiting on slow moving AI players.
