This is an outstanding seller to deal with. Fair prices that are more than reasonable in this economy. The product is even better condition than described, a true value for my money. Packaged and shipped well shows seller has concern for the products he sells to arrive in excellent condition. The seller is friendly and communicates timely with his customers. All in all I highly recommend this seller and would do business again anytime. Thank you and be safe. Good luck to the future.

    Wolf in sheeps clothing

I remember after Star Wars came out I recall an interview where George Lucas talked about how sad he was with Hollywood not making fun adventure films or sci fi like Flash Gordon or those of its type like Tarzan. And how when talking about it with Spielberg and Steven telling or saying well, if that's the type of movies we want we should make them and show the corporate groups that these can make money. There are some people who like to lump movies that they think tried to get money by "copying" from Lucas and make a fake Star Wars. I don't think of this movie or The Black Hole or Battlestar Galactica I laughed as a kid that Lucas tried to sue Galactica saying they stole from his ideas. Really be careful about that taking ideas from Kirasawa and Flash Gorden and Buck Rodgers and Dune. But ...

  • Possibly the Worst Movie of All Time?

I saw this movie the first time in a theater with my girlfriend. She and I were the only two people there!! Despite a famous director and cast of famous actors, it is probably the worst movie I have ever seen. It is so bad that it is almost a parody of itself. I laugh all the way through it, but most especially at the times when it takes itself too seriously. Everything is bad in this film; the writing, acting, lighting, even the camera angles! The production design is unbelievable ... the spaceship looks like a moose head and gets depressed and distracted. The planet over which the titlular Battle takes place is a barren rock with no resources for the bad guy to exploit. I highly recommend this movie to all sci-fi fans because it is a fun break from all the good movies out there.

  • I saw this when I was 6 and still love it 35 years later.

A fun, cheesy movie with decent production value, great cast, and dazzling special effects. A nescesary addition to any sci-fi film collection.

  • Not as bad as I remembered it!

If you liked the OLD "Battlestar Galactica" series, this little piece by Roger Corman could be right up your alley. Starring Richard Thomas when he was in his John Boy phase on "The Waltons" TV series, it features a few B stars you will recognize. The effects are decent. But it's Nell the ship with, umm, two firm attitudes (attributes?) that steals the show. Best part, tho, IMHO, is the music title and soundtrack. This movie is definitely earning a spot on my Guilty Pleasures bookshelf along with my "Escape from New York" and my "Last Starfighter" DVDs.

  • The Brilliance of Battle Beyond the Stars

Despite being over 40 years old, made on a budget of two million and unashameably derived from Star Wars and The Seven Samurai, this film has endured the test of time and has managed to be better and more original than a certain Star Wars derived film from only several years ago. Occasionally some of the special effects are cringeworthy but most of the time they are fine. This film should be a lot more readily available than it is.
