    I did not like this book. Ended abruptly

    This book was referred to me by my sister who teaches English at a college. Usually her referrals are good, this book was not that good. I have ordered a second book of this author and hope it is better. This particular book had an odd ending which I was disappointed in. I would have preferred that the author cut out some of the middle of the book and continued the ending to build the plot and the evil qualities of the characters.

    enjoyable reading

    I'm a fan of Donna Tartt. I had bought this book when it first was published in 1992 and bought another copy since my first had coffee stains. I've bought all her titles.

    A rare opportunity!

    This is the first book by Donna Tartt. She won a Pulitzer Prize for THE GOLDFINCH. Purchasing this first book was more attractive as it was signed by the award winning author and listed at an affordable price.
