An excellent camera however the maximum flash syncro.shutter speed is 1/90 sec. which seems to be a bit slow for some people, it would be more favourable it was 1/125 sec. Having said that I do delieve 1/90 sec is sufficient for most applications. All in all a great product.

My first review so bare with me! Recieved this camera today, and it is a good little buy! Came in the box w/ neck strap and the manual. A good camera for those looking to get started off in photography. It is a film camera so it has a 35mm 'full frame' sensor. The camera is perfect combinaion with the Canon EF 35-80mm kit lens, or the Canon EF 50mm f1.8 mk2 lens. You can pick the 35-80mm lens up for around £35 and the 50mm lens for around £65. You can pick up a working example in good condition for around £20, and with the kit lens for aroun £30. Now on to the camera. The EOS 1000 FN is an autofocus camera body that has a solid but lightweight feel. It's good once you get the grip of it. The manual ISO range is 6-6400. One of the cons is that it has a rather noisy shutter, and a noisy autofocus system. The camera has a in built flash w/ red eye reduction. The maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 sec, and the minimum is 30 secs. It also has a self timer that plays melodies by Vivaldi, Beethoven and Bach! Overall, the Canon EOS 1000FN, is a cheap (but cheerful), camera body for those who are wanting to get started off in the world of photography (or film photography). The camera, when used with the 50mm f1.8 lens, and Fujifilm Superia 200 takes some great shots. I also recommend using Fujifilm Superia film. For those who are looking to spend a bit more money, I recommend the Canon EOS 5 film camera. As I mentioned before, you can pick a working example up for peanuts (around £10), or one with some lens for around £30. Sometimes you can get some fantastic deals and you may be able to pick one up for a few quid (I got mine for 99p but postage was £8!). Thanks for reading, and I hope this helped!Read full review
I now have a passion for Cameras started when was 15/16 with a large Russian SLR type,but was on apprentice pay and had to wait til now years later,this Canon Camera was a steal, and has been excellent for Wildlife photographs,superb styling and ergonomic grip make it light and easy to handle and results so far exceed all other SLR types I have collected over the last 5 years, worth every penny.
Very cheap camera now for what you are actually buying from a well known brand! Very easy to use and great pictures! Very highly recommended! This is my 2nd Canon EOS 35mm and have never been disappointed!
I bought this camera for the instrution book. I relly love useing these cameras. It is very easy to use. I now have 3 bodys for this camera as now its getting old and i thought i would need spares.
