    Making Rag Rugs

    I bought the book because I am dying slowly. My husband had the old screen room transformed into a lovely den for me, which we now call the barn. I have bought several rag rugs for the barn, and I want to make some. I want to crochet at least one, weave at least one, and hook at least one. This book concentrates mainly on hooked rugs, which I know the least about. It will help me to meet one of my goals. I have studied it, and it is a good textbook and reference book.

    rag rugs to make

    I found the book very historic and descriptively accurate and entertaining. It not only described the ancient tools and fabrics used, but it gave hints on what to use in the modern era. The pictures made it easier to understand the methods and motivate one to delve into the art.

    This has given my wife a number of new ideas and projects, it was a very good purchase! It covers a number of ways to do rag rugs and also supplied at least 12 solid ideas for projects, would buy more of this topic.
