Successful result
No heat from electric heater. Dismantled the unit and replaced both sensor/switches. Rebuilt heater with a successful result. Heater now heats. If it had not then the next stage would have been another dismantle and removal of the circuit/relays board behind the heat elements/inner panel. It would then have had a function test. NB The red O ring is single use and MUST be replaced. (They are available elsewhere on eBay)No heat from electric heater. Dismantled the unit and replaced both sensor/switches. Replacing is awkward but achievable, good luck.
Replacing the Truma-Ultraheat-Temperature-Control-30030-65100 and Limiter-30030 is a little bit awkward but is achievable. I was lucky in that I could disconnect and remove the electrical part of the heater without disturbing the gas side of the heater as I have an access hatch to the back. It does mean working upside down so indigestion is almost more of a problem than removing the heater. My advice to anyone undertaking the task is to take pictures of each step. If you don’t have access to the rear you will need a new 52/53mm seal for the flu as it will need disconnecting to remove the fire. You will also need to disconnect the gas feed pipe so refitting is by a qualified person???
