Best movie to watch on Blu-Ray

This movie is so well done and has rich engaging characters. The Blu-Ray version has an extra 30 minutes of content as well. From the front cover it looks like anime, but it is actually mostly CGI, and well done CGI at that. Story is in itself excellent, but you will get more out of it if you played Final Fantasy 7 as this is a sequel story.

  • As a movie guy, it's a 4.5. As a FF7 Fan 5 stars.

I don't want to say too much plot wise. Anyone who loved FF7 (First video game I ever finished that wasn't a "kids' game". I just finished playing through it again, which makes Several playthroughs I lost count... Having knowledge of the PSOne Game, Final Fantasy 7 will definitely give you an upper hand in regard to both primary and secondary plot developments. It is SO hard to watch this movie with someone who knows nothing about Final Fantasy, because you will tear your hair out whenever there is something you want to say, even if it's just something insignificant in the background. If you've never heard of FF7, EVEN if you dislike Anime this is a movie which is very different from anything Anime, This movie is good enough sto stand on it's own ...

  • Why does everyone hate this movie?

I still really enjoy Advent Children. Yeah, it's light on plot and some of the original Japanese script didn't get translated well to English (they will never live down dilly dally, shilly shally. Never). BUT, if you're looking for a movie about the beloved characters from Final Fantasy VII rendered in the most advanced graphics for its time (circa 2005) -- eyecandy, essentially -- with epic fights and A M A Z I N G music, then this movie is for you. (Also, this is the "Complete" version, which was released in 2009. There are scenes added or changed slightly which I feel makes the movie more enjoyable. Specifically, I thought the end to Cloud and Sephiroth's fight was much more satisfying in this version than the original)

  • more movie + Blu-ray experience = Good times

Advent Children Complete adds 30mins of extra in the film to add to the original. Only because I'm a fan of Final Fantasy 7, I have only good things to say about this movie. The action and detail involved were mind blowing in the original, but the Blu-Ray experience and additional 30mins only added to my indulgence of the Movie. Inside the extras with the disk contain a documentary on Final Fantasy 7 and the time frame and actions in the video games leading up to Advent Children, I found this a great Re-cap for those who missed some of the plot lines. Another bonus feature was a short movie that was based on one of the main charactor's history; Densel. There was only one thing I noticed missing from the DVD, it was a short anime style movie bassed on the events just before ...

  • EXCELLENT MOVIE FOR FINAL FANTASY VII AC FANS!

After seeing the first original final fantasy advent children and being a fan of the vii series of final fantasy, i can definitely say that this is a must for for those who probably have seen the first one and think there isn't much of a difference when seeing this new movie, (BUT THERE IS!). 26 Minutes of extra edited footage that might fill in the gaps and story lines that some might have wondered about. There are changes in some of the scenes that have replaced the old scenes in FFVII AC. Also this is blu-ray, high quality video and sound all the way. The only thing i did not like about this movie is that unlike the japanese version, which was only missing the subtitles for english, but still had the dubbed english voices, had the final fantasy XIII demo that you can actually play. ...
