The preferred payment method for ALL sales is Cash on Collection Only, so you as the buyer can inspect the item upon collection and only pay once you are happy with it.
All of our furniture and larger times are listed as collection only, however we do allow the use of Furniture Couriers to collect from us and deliver, there are certain terms relating to this as stated.
PayPal (or any other methods of payments offered by the eBay Managed Payments Scheme) is accepted only on full priced (no offer) collected in person items, or items which offer domestic postage (Royal Mail, myHermes, UPS etc.) – not use of AnyVan, Shiply or any independent furniture couriers.
If a furniture/collected item is paid by PayPal (or any other methods of payments offered by the eBay Managed Payments Scheme), then the registered buyer/purchaser must collect and will be required to sign and accept their items upon collection – ID may be required.
Items whereby a buyer makes a Best Offer, the offer is make and taken under the proviso of being paid for by Cash upon collection (unless using a Furniture Courier – see below)
Buyers of all Furniture items must make contact within 48 hours, and the items must be collected within a week. Longer collection periods may be allowed but only with prior agreement. Storage charges may be levied on items which have not been collected after 14 days from purchase date or those whereby a prior agreement has not entered into. This also is the case for items collected by Furniture Couriers except for our local approved courier (Pinnacle Delivery Service), whereby discretion is applied. You as the buyer must endeavour to collect or have your item collected promptly; we are not a storage unit. Charges are levied at £3 per item per day, and must be paid for upon collection by either Cash or Card.
We operate by appointment only so collection must be a mutually agreed date and time. We are able to accommodate weekend collections and evening collections. Working daytime collections are possible depending on our schedule. An arrival time on the mutually agreed day must be confirmed, we do not allow large time-frames for collection, however we do understand that with traffic that the arrival time is not set in stone. No arrival times before 08:00 are possible. No Show collections, which then need to be rearranged, may be liable to a fee when the buyer does show and collect of £5 per item per no show. In the unlikely event of 3 failed collections it will be deemed that the buyer has cancelled the item and may be liable to the no show fees.
Purchasers upon collecting, and Furniture Couriers if collecting on behalf of a buyer, are responsible for packaging or wrapping the item for transit. We are unable to supply packaging materials.
Please note that due to damage caused by unknown (normally very cheap) independent couriers, if you wish to arrange a Furniture Courier to collect on your behalf you agree to the following terms:
Furniture Couriers may only be used on orders totalling £50 or more. Multiple items may be purchased which are less than £50, so long as the order as a whole is £50 or greater.
If you are in the local area to us (Essex, Suffolk, parts of Norfolk, Herts, Kent, London and surrounding counties such as East Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire etc.) you must use our local approved courier (Pinnacle Delivery Service) - details will be provided once item bought. For a delivery quote please email asking for one with either the town or first part of postcode and I can advise of prices. If the item is bought you will pay us by the methods below before dispatch, and you will book and pay the courier company direct (details will be provided). We, in this case only, liaise with the local approved courier to arrange collection from us so you only have to agree the delivery date.
For deliveries further afield we allow the use of couriers booked through AnyVan and have another recommended courier. It is up to the buyer to choose a reputable courier (something we STRESS HIGHLY), as any damage caused in transit is not our responsibility and we will not be liable for it. The courier will be required to sign for the item and accept it upon collecting from us, and damage occurring once left is at the buyers risk as their agent has taken possession of the item.
Furniture couriers must also follow the terms surrounding collection dates and times and these must be mutually agreed (except in the case of the local approved courier, as stated in that paragraph). If you are booking AnyVan (or another Furniture courier company such as an independent through Shiply) then you must advise of ideal days and times and we can advise when would work for us. Booking a collection whereby the courier may arrive anytime during a day will not be accepted and there may not be anyone to meet them, although we will endeavour to. Any failed collections due to not agreed timeframes are the responsibility of the buyer and we shall not be liable.
In the cases above of using a Furniture Courier: payment methods are strictly limited to Cash, Cheque (dispatched once cleared) or direct bank transfer (BACS).
Otherwise the item is strictly Collection Only by the buyer – and preferably Cash on Collection

By purchasing an item you are signing up to our marketing preferences whereby we may occasionally send you items by post that we feel may interest you (such as Christmas Cards etc.). If you do not wish to receive these then you must advise of this upon collection of your item.

Goods are the property of the business until paid for in full. For items covered by the Distance Selling Regulations, buyers have 14 working days in which they have the right to cancel (This does not apply to goods worth £35+VAT or less - as these are not covered by the Distance Selling Regulations). In this case buyers must return their item at their own expense and may be liable for an administration charge (and any damage which has occurred). For faulty items returns (if required) will be paid for. For larger items whereby they are listed for collection, the buyer makes themselves happy on collection and accepts the goods so no return is offered or implied.
