I knew it was a 1951 film when I ordered it, but I found the acting to be a tad wooden, also my family worked in the London Docks during and after the war, and other family members were merchant seaman during the same period so from stories they had previously told me, this script was too nicely-nicely for the people and the workers of that area. It's such a shame as I was really looking forward to watching it, but 15-minutes was the most my wife and I could suffer without becoming bored out of our brains . . . .

Just needed to watch this film again after many years. It is a wonderful old film showing many London locations of the time (1950/51).
interesting views of old London
