The last of the original series of series, before Star Trek went crazy
I've been a Trekkie ever since the first series. When this series came out, as a prequel, I thought that it was a mistake to go back in time, and that they should have continued forward, so that all the Next Generation/Deep Space 9/Voyager cast could return, but older. Nevertheless, compared with the mess than they made with the recent Star Trek movies, this series is a lot better than I originally remembered it. I just wish they didn't have a languages expert on board. Languages are not a code. It's impossible to listen to a few sentences and suddenly understand aliens.I've been a Trekkie ever since the first series. Series of the origins of a cult classic/series
Con: Too many discs confined in one container. Preferable individual package per season for the respectful discs. Looks to be 7 discs (average) per season. Pro: Very good series, one of the few Paramount and CBS have come out with that was not influences by outside sources.
