    Not all cpu's work in all laptops - my bad!

    Didn't work in my HP laptop which is a dual-core i5 model so I put the i5 back and the laptop works ok again. Sold it to a friend and it worked ok in his HP laptop which is already an i7 model so nothing wrong with the quad-core i7 cpu - just incompatible with my own laptop. Time for a new laptop!
