Well having enjoyed Mr Brydon in GAVIN AND STACEY and then his live show DVD I thought I would give this a go! A bargain on Ebay its quite a departure. Rob's divorced by his wife and its a stream of conciousness solo show with him addressing the camera in a mock documentary way. The DVD is edited so it is seamless and the episode endings are not marked. Some very good parts , some sad and we realised what a pathetic twerp he is while he doesn't. Watched it - it was OK but probably won't watch it again. If you want any action and more than one character its not for you!
Brilliant. Like watching a young Uncle Brynn from Gavin & Stacey. The fact that its all set in a taxi cab is testament to how good it is. I mean, Rob Brydan carries it all by himself and so by the end of the series you stop seeing him as a pathetic character and end up having a deep empathy with him. The scene on the train both to and from France is really quite moving. All i can say is - Buy It!
