Because we really all wish to die peacefully in our bed surrounded by Love. Such sacrifice is forged in the Fires of Life & Selflessness. This movie is a good man's attempt to reach some form of family normalcy. However, as in our daily living... the sun rays of life, love & hope can be shrewdly snatched away eternally, by only one a horse ride away. How can our own spirits of raging empathy find the solace of purpose without... pain?     Great Classic Movie! Best in HD

    I am reviewing the Blu Ray version of this movie. The movie by itself is a awesome tail of betrayal, revenge and the Hero overcoming adversity. I have read reviews about the Blu-Ray version saying that the movie wasn't as good of quality that they expected from 1080 resolution. I beg to differ. Hi-def is always the way to go, not only is the picture and contrast more crisp but the sound is un-matched from its dvd format. On top of all this, the bonus features are great and the fact that this is a director's cut I noticed new scenes that I have never seen before. Scenes that should have never been cut, they really add depth to Ceasar's sinical behavior and mentallity. I am glad i purchased this and would reccomend it for anyone who has it on dvd and wants to upgrade. ...

    Epic Title Exceptional Value

    Was looking at upgrading my DVD of Gladiator and found this Blu-ray at a great price. It arrived sooner than expected and I am so pleased with the superior image quality. This a two disc set with special features on disc 2.
