Excellent seller! my CD was listed as in 'good' condition. I would say it was 'like new'. My item arrived in pristine condition, carefully packaged and very quickly as well.

  • Still the Reference Recording

After purchasing the EBS surround sound version of the Bruch symphonies, and disliking the recording quality, I researched what was considered to be the best recordings of these lesser-known symphonies. I read many times that this is the definitive recording of the Bruch pieces - and after listening to this recording - I believe them. The violins are recorded very smoothly and sweetly...very important for these Romantic era pieces. These are remastered recordings from the sixties and seventies era, but they still sound very modern. Although I am spoiled by SACD Multichannel, these conventional CD's are very good. I also believe that these performances are the best available. Highly recommended.
