    Fab Lens

    Fab lens for the money. Standard lens with a Nikon Camera is 18-55 so this is the next lens up 55-300. Perfect for capturing moments slightly further away to a lot further away. The Picture quality is great. Comes with a case too so you can store the lens when not in use.

    Damaged when bought

    The lens is damaged and though it can be used it’s appearance is poor as a large bump mark is showing near the lens thread area, the lens thread is damaged and if the lens hood is screwed on fully it just turns past and comes off, I have had to super glue it on, the alignment dots are about 20 degrees out, it works and the pictures are excellent and the appearance is not as important as my kit lens because I only use it as an accessory

    Great results for the money.

    I bought my Nikon D5000 about 6 months ago with the standard kit lens. I was keen to have a better range especially for candid portraits and wildlife photography. The best thing about it is you can leave it on the camera pretty much all the time as it has such a good span. The most annoying thing is it tends to 'unwind' on its own if just carrying the camera on your shoulder. As an amateur, I think this is a great buy as you don't have all the phaff of lens changing and the danger of missing your shot. I would buy it again. I'm sure there are better, more expensive lenses out there but for me, it fits the bill.

    If you own a Nikon camera,- you have to get this lens.

    Bought this lens for wedding pictures as it has the VR function that allows 4 shutter stops lower to be used so don't need to use tripod all day in lower light situations and also has ED glass for better picture quality. With the 18 - 200mm zoom option, you can go from wide angle to zoom easily so is perfect for any situations and saves changing over lenses and missing important shots on that special day. The lens is big and if you have the first VR lens, it does suffer lens creep (goes from 18 - 200mm zoom when held downwards) but this is nothing once you use it and see the results it gives. In my opinion, if you have a Nikon then you must have this lens.

    This 18-200 VRll lens is excellent for lots of different shots. I had the previous lens18-200VR to this and it gave me many great photos. I'm sure this will do the same and look forward to many years of great photos.
