I JUST PURCHASED THIS SEAT LESS THAN A MONTH AGO SO VERDICT STILL OUT ON DURABILITY. I had a heavier seat with a round cushion and I started developing severe sciatic pain down my entire leg. What I like about this throne is that the cushion is kidney-shaped so it fits your buttocks well and gives support. No more sciatic irritation! I am a keyboard player, and it does have a frame for your guitar. A nice feature is that the back rest can be put in the holder either direction so I turn the guitar stand to the back of me, and it's out of my way. (You can detach this feature also but I chose not to do that.) The only concern that I do have wit this seat is that I am hopeful that with tiny screws holding it together that it will last up! With my other stool, even though it was built super sturdy and heavier, the seat fixtures underneath were flimsy, and as you leaned your weight from left to right eventually caused the screws to dis-lodge. So I ended up taking the seat apart, using the former as a template and cutting a new piece of wood to the same measurements and then reassembling the seat. Overall, the seat is very firm and a concern at first, but I have found that by the end of the gig, my back and butt suffered no discomfort. Read full review

Well made, I found it a bit high compared to a typical rotating top bar stool I had been using (so took about 2” off the legs) and back rest (reason I had bought it for) too high (drilled another hole to bring it down towards lumbar area)...oh, and the foot rest a bit low also (put another bar about 3” higher). But once I made adjustments, working fine :)

I've been using it on a lot of gigs. This one has the thickest padding of all the others I've seen. I never use the back because of the extra weight. It's easy to collapse and fit in the trunk. It's a little heavy but very sturdy. I lost a plastic end cap on one side of the guitar stand which doesn't have much function except for covering up the end of the protective foam tubing. It's no big deal. The height is about barstool height. The guitar stand is easily flipped into position for setting the guitar on it. The stand can be easily locked in for transporting so it doesn't flop out while your moving. I'm a one trip pony from car to gig. I can carry gig bag on my back, amp in one hand, music stand and stool in the other hand.

I have been performing an acoustic set for sometime now and I have to lug a stand, stool, the guitar and I take a tablet for a cheat sheet and requests. This cuts most of my lugging in half and the seat is comfortable. I love the fact I can just bring 3 things to my gigs and have the peace of mind that I don't loose track of a stand or the stool. I mean seriously I would never forget my guitar but a guitar stand is easily misplaced or someone confiscates your stool and then the bar now has an extra stool and you left without your stool. These things may sound silly but when being a performing musician and not having people working for you keeping track of your stuff it's easy to have stuff go missing. This item molds two things into one and makes the gig easier and it's comfortable! So all around just a great product. Read full review

Nice chair, the only thing stopping me from giving it a five star review is, it doesn't seem to be as stable as I'd like. It comes with a nice guitar/bass stand, cushioned seat & back, it's lightweight and has fold and store technology. Provides comfort for hours of rehearsal time. Great value.
