    Good Enough To Make A Grown Man Scream With Happiness

    My boyfriend has always wanted an historical American Girl doll, but could never afford to get one. I was able to find a Samantha in excellent condition with box for his birthday, but no book. Luckily, I found the book pre owned and never used. Not only was he thrilled to have the doll after all these years of wanting, but when he found out she was in the box and had the book, he screamed with absolute happiness. If you have the doll, but not the book, I highly suggest you get the book.

This story brings the doll to life in her authentic Victorian era clothing, A story of Family and friends sure to please any girl lucky enough to own one of these precious dolls or not. The book is historically correct giving its young reader a sense of history as well as knowledge of how a girl in 1904 would have lived. Turning a doll into a tool that teaches history while delighting her owner is truly a wonderful concept. I purchased this book to replace the original that had been worn thin by my own daughter and will pass her doll and these wonderful stories to my granddaughter. I hope she will be treasured and instill in her a love of reading and a joy of learning it gave my daughter. ...

    good book

    Great book for an 8-10 year old. This is one in a series that exposes children to others their age in US History and make it interesting at the same time. It promotes a truly different way of thinking for a child and broadens their horizons on the way life should be lived. I am always looking for something worth while for my grand children to read and this is one of hte great ways that it can be done. It is good for boys or girls to read but especially good for girls. They get to see how another girl dressed, what they ate, school, play and work. Thus instilling values in them that they might not have had otherwise.

    American Girl Book - Meet Samantha

    This is a wonderful introduction to a series of historical fiction books. The American Girl Collection is great for young girls to read. The books are about girls their own age set in a certain time period. The reader is able to see what life was like during that time period. American Girl also has a huge amount of accessories to go along with the books that are wonderful for imaginative play for the kids.
