My team used this product in Iraq in 2003 - 2004. It ran on the diesel we drained from our vehicle. We cooked everything! It just worked. Some people may complain it is noisy but it is a stove. They are noisy if they are pressurized. If you don't like the speed of the stove go spend your money on an iffy alcohol burner. Oh wait those only use alcohol. This thing will burn anything that is flammable. It may get dirty but you clean it.

While decent, the last two decades have seen the introduction of stoves that add the ability to use canisters (Polaris—this stove’s successor—, Stormbreaker, Omnifuel, Whisperlite Universal), which is a game-changer. The Nova is obsolete and basically has value as an overpriced collectible curiosity or a source for parts for those still using it.

Noisy and not fuel efficient. Takes forever to shutdown.
